DIVINE DARKNESS Day Retreat

Wild and Witchy

A Day of Sacred Rage, Sensual Reclamation and Women’s Magick.

There is a kind of magick that only happens when women* (cis women, assigned female at birth, trans women) gather.

Not the loud kind. Not the performative kind.

The ancient kind. The kind that hums in the bones.

That rises in the chest when another woman speaks a truth you didn’t know you were holding too.

SACRED RAGE

Within this held and intentional space, our first thread we will work with is sacred rage.

Not as something ugly or dangerous — but as holy fire. The anger that rises when boundaries are crossed. The anger that protects your tenderness. The anger that belongs not only to you, but to the women who came before you. Through guided breath, sound, and embodied expression, you will be invited to let this energy move — safely, consciously, supported by the strength of the circle.

Rage, when witnessed, becomes clarity.

Rage, when honoured, becomes power.

CELEBRATION

As the day unfolds, we introduce our next thread of celebration — celebration of self and the other wild witches who sit beside us in the circle. Celebration of the FULL spectrum and complexity of being a women. In the presence of women who are also remembering their power, we begin to see ourselves reflected in one another — the courage, the tenderness, the wild wisdom.

Our third thread is forgiveness and renewal.

Through a water ritual, we will work with the gentle medicine of water as an invitation to soften, forgive, and begin again. Water has long been used in ritual to cleanse and renew — to carry away what no longer needs to be held so tightly.

This ritual will take place in the nearby river or on land beside the water, allowing each woman to choose the level of immersion that feels right for her. You may step into the river, wash your hands or face, or simply sit close to the water and offer an intention.

Perhaps it is forgiveness for something that happened long ago.

Perhaps it is forgiveness for yourself.

Perhaps it is simply the willingness to loosen your grip on an old story.

This ritual is not about forcing resolution. It is about creating space for love, forgiveness and something new to emerge.

Fire reflects us back to ourselves — scarred, soft, strong, real — and shows us that nothing about our bodies is wrong.

In the darkness of the night-time, we gather around the fire. With drumbeat and flame as witness, we dance. Instinctive. Grounded. Alive. Some women may choose to shed their clothing as a symbol of reclamation — a return to the body as it is, illuminated by firelight. Others may remain wrapped in fabric and shadow. There is no hierarchy here. The power lies in the witnessing — in being seen without scrutiny, and seeing others without comparison. Perhaps we even reclaim the fire as an ally as we dance around it, healing ancestral witch wounds.

And after the heat, we soften.

We close with our fourth and final thread of sacred sensuality. To reclaim our sensual wildness we will explore a series of guided sensuality rituals. These may include solo practices as well as opportunities for partnered or small group rituals before moving into a consent-based, sensual (not sexual) cuddle puddle — a space for platonic, nurturing touch between women.

Boundaries are honoured and you choose your level of participation and pace.

Wild and Witchy is a day devoted to celebrating womanhood in its fullness — the fierce and the tender, the raging and the radiant, the sensual and the sovereign.

It is a space to release what has been suppressed, to reclaim what was shamed, and to remember the wild wisdom that has always lived within you.

We gather in women’s circle — one of the oldest form of magick there is. Sitting together, breathing together, listening without fixing, we create a field strong enough to hold laughter, tears, anger, softness, and joy. Something extraordinary happens here. Defences soften. Truth surfaces. The nervous system begins to settle.
